  1. Twitter is good for “filter blogging”, meaning links to articles you select from the mass.
    Often, however there is not enough room for even a brief note about the link.

    Well you can squish it down in advance by using the TinyURL service.
    90% of what I read on twitter was links to the authors’ blog articles, which I am already reading via RSS. So it seemed redundant.
    The 0ther 10% was “this is what I am doing right now” Facebook-style status updates, which I don’t care to read in any event. =)
