Different priorities

During the 1948 Berlin blockade, German kids were grateful for handfuls of candy and chocolate brought in by Allied airmen, who were keeping the city supplied with coal, food and clothes.

In 2009, Afghan kids in Shindand are not too thrilled with candy and chocolate, but are pleased as hell to get notebooks, pens and pencils for school.
