Saatchi & Saatchi: British Airways “Face” Ad (1989)

The music is “Aria on Air” by Malcolm McClaren.  It includes a part of “The Flower Duet” (Viens, Mallika, les lianes en fleurs) from Act I of the 19th century French opera Lakmé, by Léo Delibes.

The Flower Duet and the way the red Speedmarque zipped across the screen accompanied by the sound of jet engines more or less defined British Airways for my generation.
